What are YOUR thoughts? How do you learn… question… grow?
Yes, there are areas where a teacher provides answers or information to the student but in terms of our life journey, each of us is on an individual quest. By asking the right questions, the question itself can both illuminate the journey and provide the answer. We learn because we experience our truth, rather than have someone illuminate it for us.
Clarissa Pinkola Estés says this so well in her book “Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype”:
“Asking the proper question is the central action of transformation- in fairy tales, in analysis, and in individuation. The key question causes germination of consciousness. The properly shaped question always emanates from an essential curiosity about what stands behind. Questions are the keys that cause the secret doors of the psyche to swing open.”
