Wheel of the Year

Winter is a’comin

IMG_3152Winter is a’comin’…. Yes, it arrives tonight at 8:49 PM Pacific Time, bringing with it one of my favourite times of the year: The Winter Solstice (for those of us north of the equator) and Yule!

And for my friends in the Southern Hemisphere, enjoy Litha, your Summer Solstice!

I look forward to all the upcoming seasonal celebrations… and love that so many cultures celebrate the Solstice through both indigenous folk traditions and through their spiritual practices on holy days (holidays!) such as Christmas, Hanukkah and Juul (aka Yule).

How do you celebrate this time of year?

Many folks celebrate the Winter Solstice with a 12 Days of Solstice practice, each day honouring the season in different ways. I’ll be sharing something each day with this page to honour the season.

I will also be celebrating by using the twelve days to spend time with family and friends. My office will be closed until January 5th.

Wishing you and yours a blessed Yule!!!

Solstice Blessings
