Wheel of the Year

MoonDay Musings: honour your rhythms

My personal theme for this lunar month (and also shared in “13 Moons, 13 Goddesses”) is “Pause”. As one turn in the Wheel of the Years completes, another begins. And in this Pause, this “Time of No Time”, we dream . . . we remember . . . and we envision what is ahead.

And today — Remembrance Day in Canada and many other countries — as a society we also formally remember (“Lest we forget”) and honour the past, those we lost, the struggles of all, and reaffirm our hope for peace.

Today I came across a quote by Donna D’Cruz that also honours the Pause… and adds another (deeply profound) dimension to it. Yes! In a world of “fast”, honour your own rhythms.

“In a hyperactive world, stillness is the deepest rebellion.”
