I love that this Wednesday’s Full Moon and eclipse is associated with Sagittarius (the archer and centaur Chiron), a mutable Fire sign. WOW! This combination is an energetic powerhouse and a catalyst for transformation, perhaps revealing what has been obscured or overlooked in our lives.
Mutable signs are the change agents of the zodiac, just like the eclipse. And Sagittarius is powered by the Fire element, also associated with transformation. Qualities that we associate with this sign include confidence, independence, and high energy. Most importantly, Sagittarius is associated with exploration, with wandering (and wondering!), searching for truth and meaning.
As always, we must consider the shadow elements of the Full Moon, particularly in an eclipse when their effects may be even stronger. For instance, that quality of confidence may tilt towards over-confidence or swing the other way, to defensiveness or a fear of or a resistance to criticism. The quest for truth can shift into rigidity and dogmatism around that truth, and possibly ignoring other’s opinions and voices.
The Full Moon is a powerful time, a time of completion as Seanmháthair Gealach (Grandmother Moon in Irish) is at her peak Yang / Divine Masculine energy. Many find this an optimal time to begin engaging in release work, as Grandmother Moon shifts energetically in her cycle from waxing to waning.

- What might have dimmed in your life, or been obscured?
- What needs to be brought into the light, to shine again?
