The Full Moon in Cancer arrives January 17 @ 23:48 UTC / 3:48 pm PST
We began this new lunar journey with a New Moon in Capricorn at the birth of the new calendar year, a lovely collaboration of Sun and Moon energies, and an auspicious time for new journeys to begin.
That new moon asked us to sink into our wise inner self, our intuition, and reflect on the previous month’s journey — and even the previous 12 months — and learn from them, to help us create new goals or further former goals, as important inner work takes more than a few weeks.
And now, at this full moon, Seanmháthair Gealach (Grandmother Moon in Irish Gaelic) rejoices to be at home in the sign of Cancer, the constellation she rules with its qualities of emotions, intuition and motherhood/birthing. The Full Moon is illuminated by light of Father Sun, bringing that expansive energy into the wisdom of Grandmother Moon. The Full Moon light illuminates your new moon insights and brings them fully into your awareness (my personal theme for this lunar month), to manifest what your intuition and emotions have revealed.
